WEINENG recently completed a critical online filtration project for a major 550KV power transformer in China. The operation utilized our high-capacity ZYD-300 Double Stage Transformer Oil Purification Machine, ensuring the transformer’s insulating oil was restored to optimal condition without interrupting the power supply, demonstrating a perfect solution for proactive grid maintenance.
The client required a reliable method to improve the dielectric strength and overall quality of the insulating oil in a critical 550KV transformer. Any maintenance work had to be performed online to avoid costly and disruptive power outages. The sheer volume of oil and the high voltage level demanded a filtration system with exceptional capacity, reliability, and absolute operational safety.
Our ZYD-300 Vacuum Transformer Oil Purifier was deployed as the ideal solution for this task. With a high flow rate of 18,000 liters per hour (LPH), the unit was capable of handling the large oil volume efficiently. Its closed-circuit design was crucial, preventing the ingress of moisture and gases from the atmosphere during the entire process, thus guaranteeing the oil’s purity is enhanced, not compromised.
The system performed continuous online purification, effectively removing:
- Free and dissolved water through efficient vacuum dehydration.
- Dissolved gases via powerful degassing technology.
- Solid particles and other contaminants through multi-stage precision filtration.
The ZYD-300 Insulation Oil Purifier System was seamlessly integrated into the transformer’s oil circuit. Throughout the operation, it ran stably and reliably, processing the entire oil volume multiple times to ensure uniform cleanliness. Post-treatment oil analysis confirmed a significant increase in the breakdown voltage and a marked reduction in moisture and gas content, successfully bringing the insulating oil back to exceed the standard required for 550KV operation.
